STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. - Junior Rosie Brennan recorded her second top-five finish, earning her first-team All America status, as the Dartmouth ski team moved up one place to fifth in the final team standings at the 2010 NCAA Men's and Women's Skiing Championships Saturday.

Brennan, who finished second in Thursday's 5-kilometer classical cross country race, finished fifth in today's 15-kilometer freestyle race. Brennan was the top finisher from an Eastern school, completing the race one minute, 22 seconds behind winner Antje Maempel of Denver. Dartmouth's other finishers in the race included junior Ida Sargent in 24th place and senior Katie Bono in 27th.

In the men's 20-kilometer freestyle race, the Big Green trio of junior Nils Koons, sophomore Eric Packer, and senior Patrick O'Brien finished together in 25th, 26th, and 27th places, respectively. Less than two seconds separated the three at the finish, in a race won by Vermont's Franz Bernstein.

In the final team standings, Dartmouth moved up one spot from sixth to fifth place. Denver, Colorado, and New Mexico repeated their 1-2-3 finish from 2009, with Utah finishing in fourth this year ahead of the Big Green.
