Kelsey Quick
Women's Soccer, SR, M
Oak Knoll/Bernardsville, N.J.
Sociology Major

A senior co-captain, Kelsey Quick has been an integral part of the Dartmouth lineup
since her freshman year and a starter since she was a sophomore. This season,
Quick has tallied a goal and two assists including the game-winning goal at Brown
this year.

What are your goals for this season:

To win an Ivy League Championship ... obviously!

I appreciate my teammates:

Because they are my best friends.  This year more
than ever, I honestly feel like I could turn to any one of them for anything.
The amount of times they've picked me up when I'm down, laughed with me about
something stupid, or even helped me pass school are uncountable (I'm pretty sure
the ENTIRE team just helped me write my sociology paper ... and have been for
the past 3 days)!  They push me to be better everyday. LOVE YOU GUYS IF YOU'RE
READING THIS!

Favorite thing about Dartmouth Soccer:

My teammates. And the coaches are alright!  : )

What's the best part of a team road trip:

Snack time in Angie's room.

Why you wear #17:

No special reason, I just like it. I wore it in high school
too.

Before every game I:

Listen to music. Put my cleats and shin guards on. You know,
all the essentials.

Do you live with any of your teammates:

Nope, I live in a single. But I live next
to Katie and J. And above my Hubs, Thee, and Broms. Couldn't handle being too
far for an extended period of time.

Favorite hangout spot at Dartmouth:

Probably the bookstore on main street. It
has Starbucks and nice, quiet space upstairs to study.

What would you bring from home to Hanover:

My dogs, Molly and Daisy.

Most interesting course I have taken at Dartmouth:

Literature of Machines. I took
it my freshman spring as our writing seminar. We struggled to say the least, but
definitely became better writers.

Why Dartmouth:

The people. The academics and the soccer are obviously unparalleled,
but the people here make those things so great.

Dream job:

Actress on Broadway (starring in Wicked)

Three things you'd want with you on a deserted island:

1. Everyone says pocket knife, so I feel like that's a given. BUT then I thought
about it ... I'd probably bring a machete over a pocket knife.
2. Molly and Daisy
3. A lot of food

Most influential person in my life:

My parents (can't choose one ... I think they're
both here!?)

Favorite quote:

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs,
even though checkered by failure ... than to rank with those poor spirits who
neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that
knows not victory nor defeat."   - Theodore Roosevelt

Something most people don't know about me:
I eat my cereal dry (in a bowl, with a spoon).

My motto:

Remember the most important thing.

Top 5 songs on your playlist right now:

Ashes - Embrace
Hear Me Coming - Yung Joc
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now - Starship
Bold as Love - John Mayer
Droplets - Colbie Caillait
