HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth women’s soccer senior Myra Sack (Wynnewood, Pa.) has picked up All-Mid-Atlantic and All-New England honors to cap a stellar career for the Big Green.
Sack has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as a third team All-Mid Atlantic region selection. The New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) named Sack to its third team All-New England. This fall, Sack she was one of just two players to start all 17 games and played more minutes (1,475) than any other field player on the squad. Sack, a co-captain, ranked third on the team in scoring with 10 points coming on three goals and four assists including the game-winning-goal against Vermont. The offensive-defensive link, Sack was the central player in the Big Green’s midfield scheme. She ends her Dartmouth career with 25 points including 13 assists, ranking 10th all-time Sack also earned first team All-Ivy honors for the second-straight year and was one of 10 national finalists for the Lowe’s Senior Class Award, earning second team All-Senior All-America accolades. The 2009 Dartmouth women’s soccer team reached the 10-win mark for the 12th time in program history and third time in the last five years, going 10-7 overall. The Big Green graduates six seniors and five starters from this year’s squad. |
