HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth women’s crew head coach Wendy Levash has recently announced the hiring of Kate Davison ’07 as the second assistant for the Big Green. She will assist with varsity and novice crews, as well as recruiting.

Davison returns to Hanover after four-year career with the Big Green women’s crew team from 2003-07. While a member of the Big Green, she placed eighth in varsity eights at the NCAA Championships and fifth at Eastern Sprints in her final season. Davison was a member of the U.S. Under-23 National Team in 2006 and won the gold medal in the women’s eight at the World Championships in Belgium. She graduated with a degree in psychology in 2007.

Since her graduation, Davison has been a full-time kindergarten and preschool teacher at the Bedford Youth Performing Company in Bedford, N.H. She also taught dance classes at Bedford High School and in after school programs at local elementary and middle schools.

This past spring she was a volunteer assistant coach for the Concord High School women’s crew team and also biked from Concord, N.H., to Vancouver, B.C., as part of the Bike and Build program, which raises awareness for about affordable housing.
