HANOVER, N.H. - After a perfect 14-0 start in day one, the Dartmouth women's tennis team continued to have success at the Big Green Invite on day two with eight more wins in doubles and singles action.
Seniors Mary Beth Winingham (Carmel, Ind.) and Carley Markovitz (South Pasadena, Calif.) earned straight-set victories, while freshman Sarah Leonard (Norwalk, Conn.) and senior co-captain Jesse Adler (Winnetka, Ill.) walk away with tough three-set wins. In doubles, all Dartmouth pairs won in convincing fashion. The top two of junior Molly Scott (Trabuco Canyon, Calif.) and Winingham defeated Francine Whu and Monica Mical of Boston University, 8-5. All the other duos won by the score of 8-2 against a pair of teams from St. John's and on another from Boston University. The Big Green returns to Boss Tennis Center today at 12:30 p.m. for the final day of competition at the Big Green Invite.
