HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth men’s soccer co-captain Craig Henderson (Wellington, New Zealand) is one of 62 college seniors invited to the Major League Soccer pre-draft 2010 adidas Player Combine.

Henderson will join the 61 other seniors from 44 Division I schools for the combine at Central Broward Regional Park in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. from Jan. 8-12, 2010. Henderson is the second straight Dartmouth player to earn a spot at the combine, with goalkeeper Sean Milligan ’09 having made it in 2009.

Henderson earned All-Ivy and All-Northeast second team honors despite an injury that held him to just 11 games played this fall. After being named the unanimous Ivy Player of the Year and an All-America selection in 2008, Henderson was cut down just nine games into this season. Henderson posted 12 points on four goals and four assists. He returned to the field off the bench against Brown in the regular season finale and played nearly every minute of the NCAA first round double overtime loss at Boston College.

Henderson played in Hanover for five seasons, earning an extra year of eligibility after an injury held him to just four games played in the 2006 season. He finished his career as one of Dartmouth's all-time greats, playing in 67 games with 53 starts. He tallied 53 career points, ranking fifth all-time, on 20 goals and 13 assists and eight game-winners. His career marks of 20 goals and 13 assists both rank eighth all-time. Henderson helped Dartmouth make NCAA Tournament appearances in each of the seasons in which he was healthy - 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 - and won Ivy titles in 2005 and 2008.

The coaching and management staffs of all 16 MLS teams will be in attendance to scout talent at the 2010 adidas MLS Player Combine, which concludes two days before the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. The 2010 MLS SuperDraft will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 in Philadelphia.

Dartmouth, which posted a 10-7-1 overall mark and a 4-3 Ivy record, finished fourth in a tight Ancient Eight race. The Big Green  advanced to its third straight NCAA Tournament, earning an at-large bid to the Field of 48.
