Dartmouth College coach Barry Harwick and Smith College coach Ellen O'Neil are the directors of this outstanding camp. Campers train on the campus and the beautiful hills and trails in the countryside around Hanover. Gold Medal's training schedule emphasizes distance running to prepare campers for the fall competitive season. Small groups and personalized instruction are the keys to the camp's success. Camp meetings will feature topics like:

*Training Methods *Running Form

*Racing Strategy *Injury Prevention

*Videotape Analysis *Aqua Training

*Weight Training *Sport Psychology

The Dartmouth staff will be assisted by athletes from the nationally known Big Green cross-country team. Top college coaches will also visit the camp during the week to talk to campers on all elements of distance training. Nike is an official supporter of Gold Medal Running Camp and will provide T-shirts and information on their latest products.

Gold Medal is a great way for a high school TEAM to prepare for the cross-country season. Special team rates are available for schools with five or more runners.
