Chris was a three year letter winner in swimming at Fairfield College Prep School. The 6-1 freshman comes from Ivy League stock. His father Douglas graduated from Cornell in 1981 while his mother Karen was a 1981 Dartmouth graduate. Chris has one sister and is a member of the Dartmouth waterpolo squad.
