Albert Roth attended Bafavia High School in Illinois. While at Bafavia, he qualified for the State meet in the 200 IM and the 100 Fly as a junior and senior, and, Albert was a State Finalist in the 200 IM and was awarded All-State honorable mention as a senior. At Dartmouth, Albert plans on studying Engineering.

Albert is the son on Calvin and Nobuko Roth. He has one sister, Catrina, who swam at Syracuse University from 2005 to 2009.
