Football Concludes Third Week of Preseason Camp as Game One Nears

The Dartmouth football team laid a foundation for the 2026 season during its preseason camp, which just ended its third week. The Big Green open the season on Saturday, Sept. 19, against #7/7 Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, at Goodman Stadium.
Dartmouth’s third and final week of camp included its second scrimmage.
“With it being the week before game week, we held a second scrimmage, and I was proud of the way our guys flew around and took advantage of the opportunities,” said Sammy McCorkle, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach. “Players are stepping up, and into, the roles that they need so we can have a successful season. Even though it would have been easy to start to focus on week one, our team did a good job staying focused, making corrections, and going 1-0 every day. That is going to be important for this year - staying focused on Dartmouth Football and going 1-0 every day with a sense of urgency, attention to detail, max effort, and accountability.”
While the season opens at Lehigh, Dartmouth’s home opener takes place on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1:00 p.m. against Monmouth. Ivy League begins the next weekend against the University of Pennsylvania at home on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1:30 p.m.
