Women's Golf
at Bandana Invitational
6 S. Park Street, Hanover, NH 03755
The arena in the Berry Sports Center is home to the Dartmouth men’s and women’s basketball teams as well as the women’s volleyball squad. It was named in honor of Edward Leede ’49 — the first player to score 1,000 points at Dartmouth and captain of the 1948-49 team — and his family. Leede Arena is a 2,100-seat pavilion with two additional regulation basketball courts and four varsity locker rooms.Opposite the arena are the basketball offices and a common lounge for the men and women, which were completed in 2011. The lounge was dedicated as Wielgus Lounge in January of 2017 in honor of former women’s basketball coach Chris Wielgus, who won 393 games and guided the women’s team to 12 Ivy League titles.
“This is a fitting and well-deserved honor for Chris,” said Trustee Gail Koziara Boudreaux ’82, an All-America student-athlete for Wielgus. “She has been an inspiration, mentor and role model for so many women throughout her distinguished career. She has had a lasting impact on all of us who have had the privilege of calling her coach and now dear friend.”
