The Berry Squash Courts reside on the second level of the Berry Sports Center, consisting of 10 international squash courts and two North American squash courts, as well as three racquetball courts. The squash courts, dedicated in November of 1987, are home to the Dartmouth men's and women's squash teams. Herrick Court sits in the center of the facility as one of only three permanent exhibition courts in North America with three glass walls. The building’s architecture is one of its most striking features, as a large skylight brightens the interior and gives the building and court area an expansive feel.
When the facility was renovated in 2020-21, nine courts were converted from panel courts to international ASB plaster courts, cameras were added on each court enabling live streaming of all matches and a new sound system was installed. Electronic scoreboards and new LED lights were installed on all courts making the Berry Sports Center racquet facility one of the finest in the Ivy League.
Since its opening as one of the premier squash facilities in the country, Dartmouth has hosted the men’s and women’s Intercollegiate Squash Association Championships four times — 1988, 1991, 1997 and 2005 — as well as the national junior championships three times. Men’s and women’s professional tournaments and numerous exhibitions and clinics have also been held here.
