Women's Squash Earns Win Against Amherst At CSA National Team Championships

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Dartmouth women's squash notched a 6-3 win over Amherst on Friday on the second day of the CSA National Team Championships.

The Big Green saw just one sweep on Friday. Xiang Xiang Liu won in straight games in the second position. She won the opening game 11-9 before dominating the second game 11-2. In the third game she secured a sweep with an 11-7 win.

Nathalie Taylor, Kriti Muthu and Uma Patnaik each won in four games for the Big Green.

Taylor fell 11-9 in the first game but tied the match at one with an 11-9 win in the second game. She won the third game 11-7 and then closed the match with a 12-10 win in the fourth game.

Muthu won the first two games of her sixth position match 11-7 and 11-8 but fell 11-5 in the third game. She stopped any comeback attempt with a 12-10 win in the fourth game.

Patnaik rebounded after falling 11-3 in the first game of her ninth position match. She won the second game 11-6 and then battled for a 16-14 win in the third game. She closed out the match with an 11-8 win in the fourth game.

Maria Clara Ramirez and Zayna Usman each needed five games to win their matches. Ramirez won the opening game 11-3 but fell 11-8 in the second game. She went on to win the third game 11-7 but fell in the fourth game 14-12. In the fifth game she won 11-5 to take the point in the first position.

Usman opened her match by splitting the first two games with both games ending 11-8. After falling 11-6 in the third game she took the match with wins of 11-4 and 11-8 in games four and five for the win.

Dartmouth closes out the CSA National Team Championship and the 2025-26 season on Saturday, Mar. 6 against Drexel at 3 PM.
