No. 20 Jason Bash
Background: A smart, tough player, Jason Bash was thrust into the starting lineup this season when injuries hit in the first game. The senior from Ramona, Calif. scored a pair of touchdowns in the team's first eight games of 2005. A sociology major at Dartmouth, Bash was captain of both the football and tennis teams at Ramona High School, where he was the Valley League's offensive player of the year and a two-time first team All-Valley honoree. He was also named a scholar-athlete by the Walter J. Zable/San Diego Chapter of the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame.
Most memorable experience from your off-term: When nearly our entire class of football players spent the winter term studying and training at UC-Santa Barbara.
Favorite vacation spot: Aruba.
Best class you've taken at Dartmouth: Deviance and Social Control with Professor King. It was interesting to study why people engage in deviant behavior and how they can be controlled.
Favorite athlete growing up: Tim Brown
What's the best thing about Dartmouth: The location. Though lacking beaches, Hanover is beautiful in its own way.
Last non-textbook you read: Probably the Harry Potter books
Favorite holiday: It's got to be Christmas. I love it when I'm home and it's nearly January and still above 55 degrees.
What have you learned playing football: Definitely persistence. I have had a bunch of injuries, surgeries and setbacks so sticking with it was a big deal for me.
Favorite place on the road: Harvard.
