Introduction to the DOC
This course will explore the beauty that the local area has to offer. We will take forays into wonderful local natural areas, many within biking or walking distance of campus. To get a taste of all things DOC, we will farm, hike, bike, kayak, climb, and even visit Dartmouth's High Rope Course. We will minimize the use of motorized vehicles, so that by the end of this course you will be able to enjoy the natural area around Hanover on your own, without a car, and in a carbon-neutral manner! There is absolutely "no experience necessary" but even those who are outdoors folk should discover something new with this class. All sessions meet in Robinson Hall.
