Cottrell Selected to FCS All-New England Team

HANOVER, N.H. - Senior captain Justin Cottrell (Somers Point, N.J.) was named to the 2007 Football Championship Subdivision New England All-Star team on Monday, as selected by the New England Football Writers.
The team, which represents 12 schools, will be honored at the annual New England Football Writers Captains and
Awards Banquet on Thursday, December 13, 2006 at Casa Di Fior in Wilmington, Mass.
The team features 20 seniors, nine juniors and one sophomore. Four conferences are represented with the Colonial Athletic Association supplying 14, the Ivy 12, the Patriot added three and the Northeast Conference added one. There are 30 athletes on the team this year for the first time.
Cottrell led the Ivy League this year with 108 tackles. His 10.8 average placed him 10th nationally and he led Ivy League linebackers with three interceptions. Cottrell finished his career 13th on the Dartmouth all-time list for career tackles with 243.
