T'AI CHI CH'UAN
T'ai Chi is a slow moving exercise which develops strength, flexibility, and balance. It can be practiced in many ways: to promote health, as a meditation, or as a martial art. T'ai Chi can be practiced by people of all ages and in any physical condition. It is useful in reducing stress, strengthening one's immune system, and increasing internal energy. The class will work on the Yang Style long form, standing T'ai Chi Kung, and some of the underlying principles of T'ai Chi Ch'uan. Level 1 will focus on the first section of the Yang Style slow set. It is open to everyone. Level 2 will continue into the second and third sections of the Yang Style slow set. It is open to students who are able to do Level 1 or with permission of the instructor.
