On Thursday, January 31, Dartmouth Head Volleyball Coach Ann Marie Larese and Head Men's Soccer Coach Jeff Cook will give two brief presentations to faculty and members of the Dartmouth community.
"Identifying Areas for Team Progression through Statistical Analysis in Volleyball" Coach Larese presents a brief statistical analysis of the last four years of Dartmouth women's volleyball performance based on overall team performance, leadership development, and skill development/match preparation. She will discuss the variety of techniques and strategies the team utilized over the course of four years to improve overall team and individual performance elevating Dartmouth women's volleyball to one of the top teams in the Ivy League.
"The Relevance of Video for Teaching and Tactical Benefits in Soccer" Coach Cook presents the use and relevance of audio/visual technology to help his team acquire the knowledge and skill necessary to compete with some of the nation's top college soccer programs. He will discuss his approach to teaching game strategy and complex skill development, as well as the benefits of technology as a means of communication for today's student-athlete.
