Team Racing in 24 color-coded Larks
NNE wind (straight down the lake) gusty 10-20 knots, shifting NE (bigger lulls) midday.
cool temperatures
A knockout format leading to semi-finals and finals for each place was used
instead of the usual round-robin format. Dalhousie was a no-show so Tufts
put together a second team from sailors sent home from Great Herring Pond.
There were no breakdowns and no substitutions. Many boats capsized.
Three protests were heard using three minute justice on the dock.
Closest racing in the semi-finals as teams were evenly matched.
Most colorful racing between McGill in red pinnies and red boats v. New Hampshire
in blue pinnies in blue boats.
Many Thanks to Tufts alums Reid Van Gorder'04 (PRO) and Mika Green'08 (Scorekeeper)
and to Tufts undergrads Greg Hering and Dan Slate alternating between finish
boat and pit crew.
