
Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 Named to Fortune's 50 Most Powerful List

HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth women's basketball alumna Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 was named
to Fortune Magazine's 50 Most Powerful Women in Business list this fall. She ranked 45th on the list of top American businesswomen.
After four years of dominance on the hardcourt, Koziara Boudreaux has made her mark on American business, specifically the health insurance industry. In April 2008, she was hired by UnitedHealth Group to run its largest division, which brings in $40.3 billion, or more than 50%, of total revenue. She currently serves as Executive Vice President for UnitedHealth Group and President of its Commercial Markets Group. Earlier in her career after 20 years at AETNA, Koziara Boudreaux served as president of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois from 2002-08.
Koziara Boudreaux still holds Dartmouth's career scoring (1,933 points) and rebounding (1,635 rebounds) records from her playing days in 1978-82, during which time she helped the Big Green to three Ivy Championships and was a three-time Ivy League Player of the Year. In 2007, she was honored by the NCAA with its Silver Anniversary Award.
