All-New England FCS Team Features Dartmouth's Wilson

BOSTON, Mass. ? The New England Football Writers announced their 2008 FCS All-New England Team yesterday, and Dartmouth senior strong safety Ian Wilson was among the players selected. Last week Wilson was named to the All-Ivy second team as well.

Wilson played in nine of the 10 games, missing the final contest with an injury, and led the Dartmouth defense with 84 tackles on the season. His 9.3 tackles per game placed him second in the Ivy League and is currently 27th nationally among FCS defenders. Three times he posted double digits in tackles for a game, including a season-high 13 against both Yale and Columbia. Wilson picked off two passes this season, both against Walter Payton semifinalist Dominic Randolph of Holy Cross. For his career, Wilson amassed 299 tackles to place 10th all-time at Dartmouth.

The Ivy League had 12 representatives on the team, most among the four conferences and independents that had players named to the squad. The entire team is listed below.
