It marked the second straight game that Dartmouth (6-6-1) has lost on a last-minute goal.
Boston College (8-2-5) held a slight 13-12 shot advantage but it was the play of Eagles' goalie Justin Luthy that made the difference as he made four saves on Dartmouth's five shots on goal. Dartmouth senior Lyman Missimer (The Woodlands, Texas) only faced two shots on goal. The Big Green held an advantage in corner kicks over the Eagles, 9-6.
After a scoreless first half in which BC outshot Dartmouth, 7-5, all three goals were scored in the second-half.
Isaac Taylor put the Eagles ahead 1-0 in the 53rd minute, one-timing a cross from Charlie Rugg from about 10 yards out.
Dartmouth got on the board in the 73rd minute when sophomore defender Teo Larsson-Sax (Kalmar, Sweden) tied up the game at 1-1. Larsson-Sax headed the ball past Luthy for his third goal of the season.
Both teams had their chances in the final 10 minutes of play, including a header sent just high by Maarten van Ess (Marlborough, Mass.). Daniel Keat (Wellington, New Zealand) forced Luthy into his fourth save of the game in the 87th minute.
Boston College controlled a frantic two-minute span of play that led to the winning goal including back-to-back shots blocked by the Dartmouth defense. Amit Aburmad ultimately found the back of the net from 15 yards out in the 89th minute off a cross from Patrick Chin.
Dartmouth is back in action at Burnham Field this Homecoming Saturday night when it hosts Harvard at 7 p.m.
