Each fall student-athlete that makes a major contribution to their team and is able to maintain a 3.0 grade point average is eligible for Academic All-Ivy honors. The senior-laden squad had eight seniors and two juniors on the list with five athletes as two-time selections.
First up for the Big Green is senior Tom Robbins (Evanston, Ill.), a runner on the Dartmouth cross country team. The chemistry major earned first team All-Region honors for the second consecutive year after placing in the top-25 at the NCAA Regional Championship. He also picked up his consecutive second team All-Ivy award at the 2010 Ivy League Heps Championship in New York City and it's his second time on the Academic All-Ivy list.
Senior Tanner Scott (Kenilworth, Ill.) of the football team is a two-time All-Academic honoree. The economics major helped his team to its first winning season in 13 years with a 6-4 record. Scott was also named to the Academic All-District First Team and was a Campbell Trophy semi-finalist.
