Dartmouth and San Diego have met three times since 2004 but this marks the
Toreros first trip to Hanover. After playing to double overtime ties in the
first two meetings, Dartmouth took a 2-1 win at San Diego's tournament last
season (Sept. 18, 2009). Austin Bowers (Old Greenwich, Conn.) and Craig
Henderson '09 scored goals 14 minutes apart to overcome an early San Diego lead
and take home the win.

A LOOK AT DARTMOUTH: The Big Green
opened up the 2010 season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Holy Cross, who
returns to Hanover for this weekend's tournament. The Crusaders stayed in the game for the first 45 minutes,
playing to a scoreless tie at halftime helped in large part by Evan Polanik's
five saves in goal. Dartmouth stormed to a 3-0 lead by the 68th
minute, scoring three goals in an 18 minute span. Holy Cross managed to get one
on the board but Maarten van Ess made it 4-1 in the 88th minute to seal
the Crusaders' fate for good.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE: Dating back to its first season in 2007, Dartmouth boasts a 20-3-3 record on Burnham Field, making it an intimidating, yet pristine, environment for visiting teams. The Big Green opened its fourth fall on Burnham with a rousing 4-1 victory over Holy Cross in front of 1,294 fans. Dartmouth has led the Ivy League in attendance for the last three seasons, welcoming an average of 1,000+ fans for two of those years. For a nationally-televised game against Brown on Nov. 14, 2008, Dartmouth broke the Burnham Field record with a sellout crowd of 2,114.
ASSAULTING THE RECORD BOOKS: Two current Dartmouth players have already inked their names on the program record books for scoring. Junior Lucky Mkosana (Bulwayo, Zimbabwe) should have his sights set on the career records for both goals and points as he was more than halfway to both marks after just two collegiate seasons. After the season-opener, Mkosana now has 20 career goals, which ranks ninth and is 13 away from the record of 33, held by Bob Drawbaugh '54. He also has 47 career points, tied for seventh and just 30 points away from Vladdy Stanojevic's '90 record of 77. Senior Daniel Keat currently has 42 career points, which has him tied for 12th all-time.
NEXT TIME OUT: Dartmouth ventures away from its home turf for the first time this season, heading to the Bradley University Invitational from Sept. 17-19. The Big Green will face the host Bradley as well as traditional power Creighton.
