The Dartmouth women's basketball team opens the New Year with a game at Holy Cross on Tuesday (Jan. 3). The Big Green and Crusaders will square off at 7 p.m. at the Hart Center in Worcester. The game can be viewed on CharterTV3 in the great Worcester area.

1. Dartmouth opens the New Year against Holy Cross for the
second consecutive season. Last season, Holy Cross traveled to Hanover for the
first contest of the New Year for both squads.
2. The Big Green will be playing on television for the first time this season. Tuesday's contest will be televised by CharterTV3, locally in Worcester, Mass.
3. Dartmouth is looking to snap its current eight-game losing streak, which is the longest of the season to date and is currently the longest losing streak in program history. Prior to Dartmouth's current streak the longest losing steak was seven games.
4. Arianne Hunter and Milica Toskovic have spent some time in the starting lineup recently. Hunter has started each of the last two games she has played while Toskovic has been in the starting lineup in two of Dartmouth's last three games. Toskovic started the first three games of the season.
5. Dartmouth is looking for its second road win of the season as the non-conference slate winds down. The Big Green defeated Vermont, 72-62, on Nov. 22 for its lone road win of the season.

Cross Notables
- Dartmouth and Holy Cross are meeting for the ninth time in
the series in Tuesday's contest. The Big Green owns a 6-2 series advantage and
is looking for its third straight win in the series.
-Holy Cross will be playing its third Ivy League opponent when it takes on the Big Green. The Crusaders have already faced Yale and Harvard this season. The Crusaders fell to Yale in its season-opener and defeated Harvard. Holy Cross will also face Brown later in the season. Dartmouth defeated Patriot League member, Colgate (Nov. 19) for its first win of the season.
-Tuesday's game marks the second consecutive season the Big Green and Crusaders have met to open the New Year. Last season, the teams squared off on Jan. 2 at Dartmouth's Leede Arena.
-The Big Green and Crusaders have an Iowa connection. Holy Cross has a freshman from Iowa in Emily Parker while Dartmouth freshman Tia Dawson hails from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The teams also have common opponents in Yale, Harvard, New Hampshire and Bryant.
