All-Time Series vs. Boston U.: Dartmouth holds a 4-3-3 all-time record over the Terriers. The last meeting was on Nov. 18, 2004 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Boston defeated the Big Green, 2-2 (2OT), on a 4-3 edge in penalty kicks. Boston and Dartmouth have met twice in the NCAA Tournament, with the Big Green taking the first meeting, 5-1, in 1997.
Scouting Boston U.: The Terriers are off to one of their best starts in quite a while, as they enter the game 8-2-1. BU's only two losses this season have come against Siena and Brown and have also tied Princeton. Dominique Badji leads the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points. Nick Thomson has started all 11 games with a 0.53 goals against average.
All-Time Series vs. Penn: The Quakers hold a 31-22-9 all-time record over the Big Green. Last season, Penn defeated Dartmouth 3-0 en route to an NCAA Tournament bid. The first recorded game against Penn was on Nov. 27, 1916, a scoreless tie.
Scouting Penn: Penn meets Rutgers on Tuesday before heading over to Hanover to meet the Big Green in a crucial Ivy League match. The Quakers are 5-5 overall and 1-1 in league play after falling to Columbia last Saturday. Duke Lacroix leads the Quakers with six goals and four assists for 16 points. Alec Neumann is second on the team with five goals and is tied with four assists. Nick Polkinhorne has played in all 10 games with a 1.84 goals against average.
Big Green Cracks Top 25: For the first time since the week of October 27, 2009, the Big Green have moved back into the top 25 rankings. Last week, The Big Green received one vote by NSCAA and this week is No. 25 by Soccer America. After wins against Central Connecticut State and Yale, Dartmouth moved into 23rd on RPI list.
Adelabu and Nierenberg Sweep Ivy Honors: Senior Alex Adelabu and freshman Jonathan Nierenberg swept this week's Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Week honors, as announced by the Ivy League on Monday.
Adelabu was named Co-Player of the Week after tallying three goals in two games and Nierenberg was tabbed Rookie of the Week as he scored twice in the 4-1 win over Yale on Saturday.
Adelabu was back to his old form, leading the Big Green with seven points during the two-game span. Against Central Connecticut State on Tuesday, Adelabu had a pair of second-half tallies, which included the game-winner in the 44th minute. He also scored the insurance marker in the 81st minute.
Nierenberg, the Long Island product, made his second career start against the Blue Devils on Tuesday and then potted back-to-back goals for the Green and White in a span of 3:47 against the Bulldogs on Saturday.
