Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Ellen Meyer, Sr., Prospect, Ky., GK, Field Hockey
Meyer has been a major reason for any Dartmouth success this season and especially this past week. She posted consecutive wins against Holy Cross and Yale, before taking a loss despite allowing only one goal at UMass Lowell. In three games, Meyer was 2-1 with a 2.31 goals against average and a .767 save percentage. She turned aside 23 of the 30 shots she faced in those outings, including eight apiece against the Bulldogs and River Hawks.
Kyle Bramble, Jr. Floyds Knob, Ind., RB, Football
Kyle Bramble ran for a career-high 113 yards — his third career 100-yard game — on 23 carries plus hauled in a pass for a seven-yard touchdown during the 24-21 homecoming victory over Holy Cross on Saturday, Oct. 18. More than half of his rushing yardage (62) came during the decisive third quarter, as did his TD reception. The junior running back from Floyds Knob, Indiana, is fourth in the Ivy League in rushing yards per game (76.8) and is tied for the league lead with four touchdown receptions.
