All-Time Series vs. Harvard: The Crimson hold a 44-38-9 all-time record over the Big Green. Last season, Harvard defeated Dartmouth 2-1. Harvard also won the first recorded game against Dartmouth, 2-1, on Dec. 2, 1916.
Scouting Harvard: The Crimson enter the weekend in a three-way tie for second place in the Ivy League and sit two points behind Dartmouth (9) for the overall league lead in points. Harvard is looking for its 10th win with two more league games remaining. The Crimson have won nine of their last 11 games with a tie at Brown included in the mix. Tim Schmoll leads the Bay State Crimson with 10 points. Evan Mendez is 8-4-1 with a 1.31 goals against average.
Omsberg Named Ivy Rookie of the Week: Freshman Wyatt Omsberg was named the Ivy League men's soccer Rookie of the Week, after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime for Dartmouth on Saturday night at Columbia. In the 1-0 overtime victory, the Big Green's rookie defender used his 6-4 stature to head a ball into the goal off a corner kick by senior Stefan Defregger. The Waterville, Maine product is the third Big Green freshman named to a weekly league award this season. Omsberg joins Jonathan Nierenberg and Matt Danilack as the other newcomers to make a splash this season. Danilack was also chosen a Player of the Week and joins senior Alex Adelabu with that honor.
Danilack Selected to Academic All-District team: Senior Hugh Danilack was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District men's soccer team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday. Danilack joins three other Ivy League student-athletes — Cornell's Tyler Conway, Harvard's Mark Ashby and Brown's Alex Markes — on the District 1 list. First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
