DARTMOUTH MEN'S SOCCER WEEKLY NOTES
Live Stats: Dartmouthsports.com | Inside Men's Soccer With Chad Riley: Cornell: ILDN
All-Time Series vs. Cornell: The Big Green hold a 34-28-5 all-time record over the Big Red. Last season, Cornell defeated Dartmouth 1-0. The Big Red also won in 2012; prior to that Dartmouth rattled off five consecutive wins.
Scouting Cornell: The Big Red opened the season with a scoreless tie against No. 2 Louisville — the highest ranked team ever played by Cornell — and then picked up four consecutive non-league wins in late September. Cornell is looking for its 10th win of the season, but has struggled in Ivy play with a 2-3 record. Conor Goepel leads Cornell with 15 points and Zach Zagorski posts a 9-4-1 record with a 0.43 goals against average.
Who Will Score Next?: This season, Dartmouth has gotten goal contributions from 14 different players. Senior Alex Adelabu —fourth in the Ivies — leads the team with six goals. Freshman Matt Danilack is second with three goals and then six other players have scored twice.
The Cleveland Show: Junior Stefan Cleveland has started in 12 games this season and posts a 0.95 goals against average with four shutouts. His GAA is second in the league behind Cornell's Zach Zagorski.
Danilack Selected to Academic All-District team: Senior Hugh Danilack was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District men's soccer team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday. Danilack joins three other Ivy League student-athletes — Cornell's Tyler Conway, Harvard's Mark Ashby and Brown's Alex Markes — on the District 1 list. First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
Inside Men's Soccer: Catch weekly interviews with head coach Chad Riley on the Ivy League Digital Network. The feature will review the previous games and preview the upcoming games for the Big Green.
Follow Along: For the second year the Ivy League Digital Network will broadcast all eight Big Green home games, along with select Ivy League road matches. Peter Graves returns for his second season calling the action. Fans can also follow along with live stats on DartmouthSports.com.
