HANOVER, N.H. — Buddy Teevens, the Robert L. Blackman Head Football Coach at Dartmouth College, announced his incoming recruits for the fall of 2014 with a total of 37 student-athletes listed, which includes five potential walk-ons. Among the recruits are six linebackers, five defensive linemen, five defensive backs, five offensive linemen, five running backs, four tight ends, three wide receivers, two quarterbacks and two kickers.
The student-athletes will come from 16 different states plus Canada with California and Illinois boasting four student-athletes apiece. Four other states feature three recruits in Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey and Virginia, while Connecticut, Florida, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Washington, as well as Canada, will each send a pair to Dartmouth. Other states represented in the class are Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Texas.
Dartmouth is coming off a 2013 campaign in which it went 6-4 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League to finish in third place in the standings, a mere game from sharing the title with one of its two losses coming in four overtimes (the longest game in Ivy League history) and the other by just three points. The 2014 season will begin on Sept. 20 when the Big Green play host to Central Connecticut in a night game at 7 p.m.
