Welcome to 2015
The Big Green flip over the 2015 calendar riding a three-game winning streak — their second of the season. Dartmouth began the season on a four-game unbeaten streak before dropping consecutive four-game losing streak to even out their record.
Oakland, California? No, Oakland, Michigan
Oakland makes its first ever trip to the Granite State and just its second trip to New England — Boston College on Nov. 22, 2003. At 6-6 on the season, Oakland has struggled on the road (2-5)but has played well at home (4-1). Oakland is 2-1 in its previous three road contests, picking up wins at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and IPFW but recently dropped tight contest at Central Michigan.
Scouting The Golden Grizzlies
Averaging 70.9 points, 7.7 made three-pointers and 9.4 steals per game makes you think that the Golden Grizzlies like to push the tempo of play. Well, That is exactly right. Oakland has four of its five starters averaging at least eight points per contest. Olivia Nash leads the team with 14.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest. Elena Popkey is second at 14.8 points per game and Peyton Apsey leas the team with 26 steals. Sinclair Russell has 23 blocks in the defensive paint.
Big Green Secure Win Number Eight at URI
Junior Lakin Roland and sophomore Fanni Szabo each scored 16 points as the Dartmouth Big Green held on to defeat Rhode Island, 54-44, at the Ryan Center. Roland 16-point performance was also her sixth double-double of the year as she finished with a team-high 10 rebounds. Sophomore Katie Vareika put in her fourth double-figure performance of the season with 12 points all from the outside in 28 minutes off the bench. Senior Milica Toskovic added five points and eight rebounds.

Four players scored in double figures led by sophomore Katie Vareika with 16 points off the bench, as the Dartmouth women's basketball team picked up its seventh win of the season and defeated Niagara, 76-70, at the Gallagher Center. Vareika's 16 points came in just 18 minutes as the guard shot 6-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the outside.
