Brick & Brew Athletes of the Week - Williams & Lujan

With both teams tied for the Ivy League lead, Dalyn Williams and Kaira Lujan are both key factors in their team's success. Williams continues to destroy the record books as he is leading the football squad to a 4-0 record. Lujan led the volleyball team to a 2-0 weekend, downing both Yale and Brown for the first time in many years.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week.

Dalyn Williams, Sr., Corinth, Texas, QB, Football

Senior Dalyn Williams continued his record-setting ways this past week to lead Dartmouth to a resounding 35-3 homecoming triumph over Yale. The quarterback from Corinth, Texas, threw for 435 yards — besting the program record held by former NFL QB Jay Fiedler '94 — while completing 29-of-53 passes with four touchdowns. He also surpassed Fiedler's mark for career total yards and currently has 7,525 with six games remaining in his career. In addition, he broke his own school records for total yards in a game (453) and consecutive passes without an interception (234 dating back to last year). Williams is currently among the top 10 nationally in passing efficiency (5th), total offense (6th), passing yards per game (7th) and completion percentage (8th).

Kaira Lujan Sr., Santa Fe, N.M., MB, Volleyball

Over the weekend, Dartmouth defeated Yale for the first time since 2009, handing the Bulldogs their first Ivy loss in 2015 with a 3-1 win before taking down Brown in straight sets the following day. Lujan had a good weekend, totaling 17 kills, one ace, five digs, seven block assists and eight points, delivering the final kill to end the match against the Bears.
