SATURDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth men's soccer opens its 2015 Ivy league schedule on Saturday when it plays host to Princeton at 4 p.m. in the first half of a doubleheader at Burnham Field.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green are coming off an impressive 3-0 home shutout of No. 18 Hofstra last Saturday afternoon. Dartmouth scored the trio of goals in a span of 3:32 late in the game to hand the Pride their worst loss of the season. Matt Danilack and Babacar Gadiaga each notched their first goals of the season, while Eduvie Ikoba's goal in the 88th minute was his second of the fall season.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Princeton comes to Hanover for Saturday's tilt with a 3-2-1 overall record. Like Dartmouth, the Tigers will be making their Ivy League debut for 2015 in the matinee match-up. Most recently, Princeton played to a 1-1 draw at home against American on Tuesday night with Thomas Sanner scoring his fifth goal of the season in the 11th minute. Sanner's quintet of tallies is the most by any player on the Tigers' roster this fall as are his 12 points and two assists. Ben Hummel has played a majority of time in goal, sporting a 1.79 goals against average and a .654 save percentage to go along with his 3-2-1 record.
AGAINST PRINCETON
Danilack ended last year's game in Princeton when his shot in the 93rd minute beat the Princeton keeper to give Dartmouth a 2-1 win in overtime. The goal was the result of a header stemming from a Gabe Hoffman-Johnson free kick. Overall, the Tigers own a 38-21-7 advantage against the Green after the two have split the previous four contests.
BOUNCING BACK
After losses to Seattle and Washington in the Pacific Northwest, Dartmouth bounced back in a big way with the shutout victory over a ranked Hofstra team. After Dartmouth dropped consecutive games on a road trip to Indiana last fall, the team returned east to defeat Hofstra, 2-1. That win against the Pride sparked an eight-game unbeaten streak (7-0-1), a feat the Big Green hope they can once again duplicate.
AWARDS ABOUND!
Following the upset of Hofstra, a trio of Dartmouth men's soccer players took home some weekly accolades. Senior goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland was tabbed as the Ivy League Player of the Week for his four-save shutout (his third clean sheet of the fall) against the Pride, making several key saves late with the game still scoreless. Ikoba was named the Rookie of the Week for scoring his team-best second goal of the season in the win as well, making him the second Dartmouth freshman to earn the conference recognition this season (Amadu Kunateh – Sept. 7). Finally, Danilack was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Men's Team of the Week for scoring the first tally of the contest which proved to be the game-winner.
CLEAN SHEETS
Dartmouth has held opponents scoreless four times already this season, more than any other team in the Ivy League. Columbia has three in its 4-1-1 start, all by Kyle Jackson who is currently tied with Stefan for the conference lead. However, in addition to Stefan's three shutouts, James Hickok has one to give the Green four in their first seven outings.

WHAT'S AHEAD?
There is a quick turnaround for the Green and White following Saturday's game as they host Vermont in a non-conference contest Tuesday at 7 p.m (following the women's 4 p.m. contest with Hampton). Dartmouth will travel to Yale afterward to take on the Bulldogs next Saturday, Oct. 10 in New Haven.
