THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth women's soccer team hosts its second to last game at home when Ivy League foe Columbia visits Hanover for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
With only one victory in conference play this season, Columbia is coming off of back-to-back losses against Lafayette and Princeton. A pair of freshmen lead the Lions in goals this season. Forward Emma Anderson has four, while forward Rachel Alexander is right behind her with three. Sophomore Caroline Milltello has found the back of the net twice. Anderson also leads the Lions in five offensive categories: shots (38), points (10) asists (2) shots on goal (16). Columbia has not fared well on the road this year as the Lions have just one victory in six games away from New York.
LAST TIME AGAINST COLUMBIA
On Oct. 25, 2014, Tasha Wilkins scored the lone goal in the game to give Dartmouth a 1-0 victory over the Lions. Wilkins found the back of the net in the 19th minute off a free kick after the Big Green recorded two shots on goal at the 4th and 12 minute marks, respectively. Dartmouth goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders made six saves in the shutout win, while Lions netminder Alison Spencer made four saves.
SPREADING THE BALL AROUND
Dartmouth has had no shortage of offense with 10 different players having scored a goal through 14 games. Senior Lucielle Kozlov leads the Big Green with nine while three players are tied with four goals a piece. Kozlov also leads the team in points with 19 and shots on goal with 15.
FINISHING STRONG
Dartmouth has been red hot in the second half of games this season. Of the 30 goals scored by the Big Green, 23 of them have come in the second half. Dartmouth's opponents have only scored eight goals overall.
BETWEEN THE PIPES
Dartmouth goalkeeper Casey Cousineau is tied for third in the Ivy League for save percentage with .827. In the 12 games she has played for the Big Green, Cousineau has 43 saves. Most recently against Penn, she made three saves and allowed just one goal in a 1-1 draw.
