FINAL HOME WEEKEND
Dartmouth volleyball will play at Leede Arena for the last time during the 2015 season, hosting Columbia at 7 p.m. on Friday and Cornell at 5 p.m. on Saturday for Senior Night.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green went 0-2 on their penultimate road trip last weekend, falling in three sets to Princeton (23-25, 21-25, 25-27) and Penn (24-26, 19-25, 18-25). Against the Tigers on Friday, Emily Astarita had 14 kills and Kayden Cook finished the evening with 33 assists. Zoe Leonard had 13 digs to lead both squads. The next day against the Quakers, Paige Caridi recorded a double-double with her 12 kills and 13 digs. Leonard, once again, led both teams in digs with 19, while Cook had 18 assists.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
Columbia comes to Hanover with an overall record of 7-12 and 5-5 in conference play. Last weekend was a pretty big one for the Lions, as they shut down Brown in three sets before defeating Yale, 3-2.
LAST TIME AGAINST COLUMBIA
Just over two weeks ago, the Green rallied to defeat the Lions on the road, 3-2, (21-25, 25-20, 30-28, 25-27, 20-18). Both Caridi and Stacey Benton registered double-doubles, with Caridi registering a season-high 26 kills and 11 digs, and Benton ending the night with 43 assists and 14 digs. This marked Dartmouth's six straight conference victory.
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell is sitting at the bottom of the Ivy League standings with a conference mark of 2-8. After dropping its first seven league matches, things seemed to turn around for the Big Red, who defeated Columbia, 3-2, to pick up its first victory of 2015. The following weekend, they went to five against Yale, but came out on the losing side of that battle. Cornell's second win of the conference season came in the form of a 3-2 victory over Brown on Halloween.
LAST TIME AGAINST CORNELL
On Oct. 16, Dartmouth came back from a dropped first set to defeat Cornell, 3-1, (22-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-20). Astarita led both teams in kills (18) and points (19.5), while Cook had 29 assists. Sierra Lyle and Jordan Cornwell each had three aces and Leonard led with 16 digs.
