Women's Tennis is headed to the NCAA tournament, while baseball heads to the Ivy Championship Series, hoping for a spot in the NCAA tournament. Helping these post-season dreams come true are a couple of newcomers to the Big Green. Freshman Kyle Holbrook hit .500 in a four-game sweep of Harvard by the baseball team this past weekend, while classmate Julia Schroeder clinched the women's tennis victory over Harvard with a win at number 5 singles.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Kyle Holbrook, Fr., Broomfield, Colo., OF/C, Baseball

Following Dartmouth's 5-2 victory over Harvard on Saturday, the Big Green wrapped up conference play by finishing in second place in the Ivy League. Julia Schroeder clinched the win for Dartmouth at No. 5 singles, defeating Amanda Lin, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. She and Alexxis Kiven were also leading Lin and June Lee, 6-4, at No. 3 doubles when the match went unfinished. The Big Green will be heading to post-season play next weekend, taking on William & Mary.
