THIS WEEKEND'S GAMES
After its first Ivy League weekend sweep, the Dartmouth women's basketball team will host Cornell on Friday and Columbia on Saturday, to kick off a four-game homestand.
LAST TIME OUT
Last Saturday, the Big Green defeated Brown, 63-50 in a dramatic come-from-behind victory. Junior Fanni Szabo stepped up to score two quick field goals after the break, with Dartmouth trailing 35-21. She finished the night with 15 points. Senior Lakin Roland scored 13 points in the second half after being held scoreless in the first. After the Big Green got into foul trouble, the bench stepped in, including a solid performance by sophomore Olivia Smith who scored 11 points.
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell is coming off back-to-back road losses to league leading Penn and Princeton. On Friday, Feb. 12 the Big Red fell to the Tigers, 71-51 before dropping a 65-50 decision to the Quakers. The last time Dartmouth and Cornell squared off the Big Red outlasted the Big Green, 71-58 in overtime. Cornell's offense is led by the Ivy League's leading scorer junior forward Nia Marshall, who averages 17.2 points per game. Last Saturday against a stingy Penn defense, Marshall recorded 17 points.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
Columbia is also coming off of back-to-back losses to Penn and Princeton. Last Friday the Lions fell, 71-51 to the Quakers and dropped an 86-54 decision to the Tigers on Saturday. On Jan. 29, the Big Green defeated Columbia 76-73 in an overtime thriller. Two-time Ivy League Player of the Week, Camille Zimmerman leads the Lions offense with 15.4 points per game, good for fourth in the conference. Devon Roeper has also been solid for Columbia this season as she leads the league in field goal percentage at 53.6.
THINK PINK
On Saturday, Dartmouth will host its annual breast cancer awareness game to benefit the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Since 2009, teams across the country have held breast cancer awareness games, “Play 4 Kay” to honor longtime North Carolina State head coach Kay Yow who passed away in 2009.
COMEBACK KIDS
Last Friday the Big Green came from behind after trailing by 13 points at the half to defeat Yale, 68-63. Dartmouth followed this performance with another dramatic rally against Brown after the Big Green found themselves down by 14 at the break. The victories marked the first Ivy League weekend sweep of the season.

Dartmouth has found success this season from three-point range. As a team, the Big Green shoot .332 from beyond the arc compared to their opponents .312. Sophomore Kate Letkewicz leads the team draining 46 of 128 from three-point range.
