ALBANY, N.Y. – A week after being named to the All-Ivy League First Team, senior Laura Stacey was tabbed to the ECAC Hockey Third Team All-League, as announced at the league's annual postseason awards banquet over the weekend.
Stacey ended her career at Dartmouth with a team-leading 23 points from 10 goals and 13 assists. During each of her four years with the Big Green, she has led the team in assists, and this year is no different. In 27 games, she had at least one point in 16 of them and had five multi-point performances. An impressive 20 of 23 points came in ECAC Hockey play, with all but one of her goals coming against conference opponents.
The Kleinburg, Ontario, native missed just one game all season, taking the time to represent her country with the Canadian National Women's Development Team at the 2016 Nations Cup in Austria and Germany. Stacey found the back of the net in the team's first of three pre-tournament wins and added an assist in the final game of the cup. Canada claimed its 11th all-time Nations Cup.
Fellow senior and co-captain Catherine Berghuis was named a finalist for the Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete Award. The Truro, Nova Scotia, native appeared in 26 games and tallied a pair of assists throughout the year.
