HANOVER, N.H. – No. 54 Dartmouth women's tennis will have two matches over the weekend, one at home and one on the road. On Friday, the Big Green will play their final road game of the regular season against No. 72 Brown and will return to the Boss Tennis Center on Sunday to face No. 69 Yale.
Dartmouth (10-6, 1-3 Ivy League) dropped a pair of conference matches to No. 61 Princeton and No. 74 Penn on the road over the weekend, both by scores of 5-2. The Green's doubles play has been on point all season, as they won the first point against both the Tigers and the Quakers. Junior Taylor Ng and sophomore Kristina Mathis – who are 19th in the ITA National Rankings – are on a 10-match unbeaten streak at the No. 1 position.
Brown (13-9, 1-3 Ivy League) is tied with Dartmouth and Harvard for sixth in the conference. The Bears opened Ivy play with a big 4-3 victory over Princeton, but proceeded to drop the next three to Penn, Cornell and Columbia, all by a score of 4-3.
Yale (8-10, 2-2 Ivy League) had a bit of a rough start to non-conference play, dropping its first five matches, but turned things around quickly by winning the next five in a row. The Bulldogs have fared well in conference play so far, defeating Penn and Columbia by scores of 4-3 and dropping matches to Princeton and Cornell, both by scores of 5-2.
The Big Green will have just one more regular season match to play after this weekend. On Saturday, April 23, Harvard will come to town for a 2 p.m. match.
