Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Hanover Brick and Brew Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.
Jaclyn Leto, Sr., Chatham, N.J., Women's Lacrosse, M
In her final collegiate game, Jaclyn Leto scored four goals and assisted on another for a five-point day against Columbia in Dartmouth's 13-11 win Saturday. Leto finished the year as the Ivy League leader in goals with 53 and second in points with 58. She capped her career in a Big Green uniform fifth in points (175), third in goals (151) and third in draw controls (131).
Thomas Roulis, Sr., New Hyde Park, N.Y., Baseball, SS
Senior shortstop Thomas Roulis provided big hits and flawless defense for the Big Green baseball team in a home win over Siena and a doubleheader sweep on the road at Harvard, collecting two hits in each game. His RBI double against the Saints gave Dartmouth a 3-1 lead which it would never relinquish in a 5-3 victory, but it was his two-run single at Harvard in the opening game that was his biggest hit of the week in a 3-1 triumph. Then in the 2-1 win in the nightcap, Roulis rapped out a single and a double as he continued to terrorize Ivy League pitching. For the year, the native of New Hyde Park, New York, hit .384 in conference play, fourth in the league.
