
Brown Named Holekamp Family Director of Strength & Conditioning

HANOVER, N.H. — Dartmouth Director of Athletics and Recreation Harry Sheehy announced that Spencer Brown has been promoted to the position of Holekamp Family Director of Strength & Conditioning.
Brown just completed his second year on the Big Green staff, serving as the strength coach for the football team that has posted a 17-3 record over those two years with an Ivy League title to its credit. He works closely with Dartmouth Peak Performance to develop specific year-round strength and conditioning programs that have given them the tools be successful.
Prior to his arrival in Hanover, Brown was the head strength and conditioning coach at Moravian College in Pennsylvania for two and a half years, during which time the Greyhounds saw a large reduction in injuries and increased performance level of their athletes across the board. He was also responsible for all administrative duties required to operate a fitness center, including managing a full staff and student-workers.
Brown previously worked as the Assistant Director of Sports Performance at his alma mater, Lafayette College. He oversaw the daily operation of a 4,000-square foot facility for 14 Leopards' sport teams.
A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Brown is also certified as a Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.
A 2009 graduate of Lafayette with a degree in anthropology and sociology, Brown was a linebacker and four-year letter winner on the Leopards football team. He earned a spot on the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Brown currently resides in Vermont with his wife Krystal and two children, Gavin and Faith.
