ALBANY, N.Y. – The Dartmouth women's hockey team saw 12 student-athletes from this past season earned ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team honors for 2015-16, as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.
Players are eligible for the all-academic team if they earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
In all, 193 student-athletes from across the conference's 12 academic institutions met the requirements needed to earn a spot on the team.
Leading the way were five members of the Class of 2016, while two juniors and four freshmen made up the rest of the Big Green contingent. Seniors Olivia Whitford and Zoe Brennan earned the distinction all four years, while juniors Katy Ratty and Mackenzie St. Onge have been honored three years in a row.
Freshman Caroline Shaunessy was tabbed as the Commissioner's Honoree with the highest GPA on the team, boasting a 3.44 in her first season.
