WEDNESDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth women's basketball team travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army in its first road game of the season.
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
Army West Point is coming off an 82-65 victory over Yale on Sunday. Junior Madison Hovren is leading the Black Knights in scoring, averaging 16 points per game, while the closest teammate in scoring is senior Aliyah Murray who has posted 9.3 points per game so far. Army has won the last three straight games, defeating LIU Brooklyn and NJIT before taking down the Bulldogs over the weekend.
LAST TIME AGAINST ARMY
Last November, Dartmouth hosted the Black Knights and fell to the road team 68-60, with 24 points from Kate Letkewicz and 16 points from Olivia Smith. The Big Green were leading early in the fourth quarter, but Army went on a 12-2 run to take a 62-54 lead with only two minutes left to play.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth is coming off an 81-50 win over NJIT on Sunday. Junior Isalys Quiñones led the offense with 18 points and 11 rebounds, her second double-double of the season. The Big Green took a 35-point lead early in the third quarter, and while the Highlanders tried to climb back into the game Dartmouth was able to continue scoring and ended the game with a 31-point advantage.
LIPPOLD LEADING
Junior guard Cy Lippold is leading the Big Green in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per game, playing an average of 37.5 minutes. Letkewicz is not far behind, with an average of 16 points per game, while Quiñones has posted a 12.3 average and senior Emily Slagle has 10.3.
INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
Letkewicz finished last season in the top-10 for both three-point attempts and shots made. This season she has made 15 three-pointers and has taken 27 attempts, and will only continue to climb higher into the top-10 three-point shooters in program history.
