HANOVER, N.H. – After the first day of the Tate Ramsden Invitational, the Dartmouth women's swimming and diving team is first with 56 points, sitting ahead of UMass with its 36.

Previously named the Dartmouth Invitational, the two-day meet was renamed last season to honor Ramsden '17, who passed away in 2015.

The Big Green's lone diver on the 3-meter board,
Isabella Lichen placed third (251.47) to earn three points toward the team's total. Dartmouth went 1-4 in the 500-yard freestyle, being led by
Mia Leko (4:58.66), who just missed the meet record by two-tenths of a second. She was followed by
Sarah Minnigh (5:01.18),
Laura Barthold (5:09.35) and
Emma Wagner (5:10.61) to earn a total of 16 points.

Ashley Post and
Melanya Zaraska touched eight-tenths of a second apart in the 200-yard IM to finish in first (2:10.27) and second (2:10.98).
Susannah Laster also finished in scoring position in fourth (2:13.09), while
Molly Brickman touched right after her (2:13.37).

In the 50-yard freestyle,
Katherine Cane was second (24.34) and led the way for
Summer Martin (24.34),
Eleanor Zwart (24.46) and
Zoe Wortzman (24.51), who finished all in a row.

To wrap up the first day of action, the Green earned 13 of 17 possible points in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The A team was first (1:37.35) and the B relay took third (1:38.29).
