HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth volleyball was picked to finish fifth in the Ivy League's preseason poll, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Princeton was top with 10 first-place votes and 120 points, while defending champion Yale was second, receiving five of the remaining six votes and had 117 points. Following behind the Bulldogs were Cornell (91), Harvard (80), Dartmouth (55), Brown (45), Columbia (44) and Penn (24). The Crimson got one of the 16 first-place votes.

Last season, the Big Green moved up a spot from the year before to finish in fifth place with a conference mark of 5-9. Dartmouth had some big Ivy wins, taking down Harvard (3-2), Penn (3-0), Brown (3-1, 3-0) and Columbia (3-0).

The 2019 season officially begins next week at the UNC Asheville Invitational, where the Green will face North Carolina A&T State, Eastern Kentucky and the host over the course of two days.
