Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their fall seasons postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Naeem Morgan, linebacker on the football team.
DartmouthSports.com: What have workouts been like so far?
Naeem Morgan: They have not been the same.
DartmouthSports.com: What is your most memorable on-field team moment?
Naeem Morgan: My most memorable on-field moment would have to be standing on the sideline as Derek Kyler threw what would eventually become the "Miracle in Cambridge" to Masaki Aerts and immediately sprinting to him when he came down with the ball, joining and celebrating with the whole team in Harvard's end zone and then continuing that celebration into the locker room.
DS: And your most memorable on-field individual moment?
NM: In the third game vs. Penn in Philadelphia, I had a play where I blew up a pulling guard and forced the running back to fumble. This is my favorite on-the-field moment because not only was my family present, which is really important to me, but also it's a play I can always point to and say, "Listen, I really do this."
DS: What is the best thing about practice?
NM: The best thing about practice is vibing to that day's practice playlist while warming up and stretching.
DS: And the worst?
NM: The worst thing is definitely getting yelled at by Coach Dobes or even worse if he throws his hat.
DS: Any hidden talents you can share?
NM: I wouldn't say I have had many "hidden" talents because I'm pretty transparent about my strengths, like my cooking ability or knack for graphic design. But, I do have sneaky bars and sometimes when I freestyle on the sidelines it catches my teammates off guard.
DS: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why?
NM: I would probably switch places with Devin Powell, Tobi Adedara, or anyone that's 6-foot-4 because I have always thought my life would be significantly better if I was 6-foot-4.
DS: What are your plans after Dartmouth, as much as you can plan for anything during this pandemic?
NM: I plan on pursuing a master's degree.
