Dartmouthsports.com will be recognizing the senior student-athletes who had their fall seasons postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today's Senior … Darren Stanley, cornerback on the football team.
DartmouthSports.com: What have workouts been like so far? Darren Stanley: Workouts have been going well but it was a little weird at first with the masks and social distancing.
DS.com: What is your most memorable on-field team moment? DS: Winning the Ivy League championship after coming so close the last two years.
DS.com: And your most memorable on-field individual moment? DS: When we played Yale last year because I had four pass deflections.
DS.com: What is the best thing about practice? DS: Being around my teammates and vibing before practice starts.
DS.com: And the worst? DS: Tackle circuit, particularly the popsicle.
DS.com: Any hidden talents you can share? DS: I feel like I'm good at geography and remembering where certain places are in the United States and the world. At one point I could name all the capitals in each U.S. state.
DS.com: If you could swap places with one teammate, who would it be and why? DS:Masaki Aerts so I could feel what it's like to be famous and catch a game-winning touchdown.
DS.com: What are your plans after Dartmouth, as much as you can plan for anything during this pandemic? DS: I want to travel and see the world. I just want to enjoy life.
