
Winter Academic All-Ivy Team Announced

10 student-athletes were selected to the Winter Academic All-Ivy Team
HANOVER, N.H. – Ten Dartmouth student-athletes were selected for the Winter Academic All-Ivy League Team as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon.   Â
To qualify for a spot on the league's top academic team, these student-athletes have made major contributions to their teams while maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average. The Big Green's 10 honorees are listed below in alphabetical order.
James Bell, Jr.
Squash / Boston, Mass. / Economics
•   3.57 GPA
•   Competed in all 15 matches
•   7-8 overall record
•   6-5 at No. 4 singles and 3-4 in Ivy play
James Foye, Sr.
Basketball / Hamilton, Mass. / Economics
•   3.97 GPA
•   Two-time captain
•  Two-time Academic All-American
•   Senior CLASS Award All-America Second Team
•   Averaged 9.7 ppg while shooting 42.6 percent on 60 made 3-pointers

•   3.73 GPA
•   Tied for second on the team in scoring with 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points
•   Nine of those points came as a defenseman

•   Team captain
•   Swam in finals of 50, 100 and 200 free at Ivy Championships
•   Helped break Dartmouth record in 800 free relay

Cha'Mia Rothwell, Sr.

•   3.57 GPA
•   Won the 60m hurdles at Indoor Heps for fourth straight year (third woman ever to do so)
•   Ran a season-best 8.31 seconds for her ninth career Ivy title
Sophie Smith, Sr.
Swimming & Diving / Brielle, N.J. / Economics
•   3.78 GPA
•  Team captain
•  Swam in finals of 50, 100 and 200 free at Ivy Championships
•   Tied Dartmouth 50 free record in prelims
•   Received team award for contributing the most to the team
Kipling Weisel, Sr.
Skiing / San Francisco, Calif. / Economics
•   3.61 GPA
•   Finished 11th in the giant slalom at NCAAs
•   Nearly qualified for All-America honors
•   Finished in top-seven in five carnival races with one podium
