Black History Month: Pioneer Profiles
2/18/2021 9:45:00 AM | Athletics
Throughout the month of February, the Dartmouth athletics department is sharing profiles of some of the earliest Black student-athletes at the college, hailing from the early part of the 20th century, on its social media outlets. These are by no means the only ones from that time period, just a sampling of the pioneers who left an indelible mark on Dartmouth during their time here. And a hearty thank you goes out to the Dartmouth students that were enrolled in the African American Studies 23 course — Black Sporting Experience — taught by Professor Derrick White in the spring of 2015 who provided much of the information used in the social media profiles and wrote the short bios of each in the links included.
