Track, softball and rowing all back in action this weekend
HANOVER, N.H. — The shortened spring season is just about over, but a few Dartmouth teams are set to be back in action this weekend one more time before the curtain falls.
The men's and women's track and field teams are heading to American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, for the ECAC Championship beginning on Friday at noon. A total of 10 members of each team are expected to compete in the various events, including Myles Epstein who will show off his speed in the 100m and 200m.
While the track meet continues on Saturday, the men's and women's rowing teams will be on separate bodies of water vying for the best time against Williams College. The heavyweights and lightweights will host the Ephs on the Connecticut River at 1 p.m., while the women will go to Onota Lake to take on host Williams at 11 a.m.
The Big Green softball team (1-2) will get two games in on Saturday as well, playing at Tufts in a doubleheader that begins at 11 a.m. Last weekend Dartmouth handily won a scrimmage against a Smith College team that had not played in two years, 18-1. This time, the Green will go up against the NESCAC Champion Jumbos who boast a record of 17-3.
Spectators will not be permitted at any of these events, but recaps will be available on DartmouthSports.com following their conclusion.
